Afghanistan were bowled out for just 56 runs in the first semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024, the lowest team total in the tournament's semi-final history. After winning the toss and opting to bat at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad, Afghanistan faced a formidable South African bowling attack that exposed their batting frailties. The innings started disastrously as Rahmanullah Gurbaz fell for a duck which set the tone for Afghanistan’s batting collapse.
