A passenger aboard an Air India flight from Jeddah was arrested at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport after his refusal to multiple refreshments and meals during the five-hour journey raised suspicion. During interrogation, Green Customs Clearance Channel discovered gold, valued at over Rs 69 lakh, in his rectum. Earlier this year, a souvenir shop at the Chennai airport was busted for being a front for a gold smuggling racket based in Sri Lanka.
