All meat shops and slaughterhouses in UP to remain shut for Anant Chaturdashi

The official order by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath reads, “In view of the demand made by lakhs of Jain followers living in Uttar Pradesh, after due consideration, it has been decided to keep all the slaughterhouses and meat shops closed in Uttar Pradesh on Anant Chaturdashi (dated 17.09.2024).” Government holiday for Eid-e-Milad has been rescheduled in Mumbai from 16th September to 18th September in Maharashtra.
