Bank holiday today on Janmashtami: Are Banks open or closed in your city?

As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, most banks in India will remain closed today. Banking operations will remain operational despite holidays in most states, in certain major cities. Janmashtami, also known as Krishna Janmashtami, Krishnashtami, Gokulashtami, Ashtami Rohini, Srikrishna Jayanti and Sree Jayanthi, is one the most celebrated festivals in India and in Hinduism, which marks the birth of Lord Krishna.
