Hotel room rates have doubled in flood-hit Bengaluru as desperate residents, whose houses have been inundated, scrambled for rooms in the city hotels.

According to the reports, the room rents in India's IT capital have doubled to Rs, 30,000- Rs 40,000 per night from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 per night a few days ago.
