Britain's last coal-fired power plant to shut down after over five decades in service

Situated at Ratcliffe-on-Soar in Nottinghamshire, the coal power plant will generate electricity for one last time on Monday. This will end UK's 142-year history of coal power use that started with the Holborn Viaduct power station in 1882.
