The Odia Middle School in Kera in West Singhbhum’s Chakradharpur was established in 1895. Six classrooms were demolished by the Jharkhand government in 2019, with the promise that they would be rebuilt. However, those promises weren't kept. The major issue worrying the students is the dilapidated condition of the school building. The villagers who have run from pillar to post for 5 years have now written to President Droupadi Murmu for help.
