Several scientific reports have pointed out how dinosaurs were wiped out of our planet due to an asteroid impact some 66 million years ago. However, a recent study has suggested that even before the asteroid hit the planet the population of dinosaurs was in decline.

The findings of the research show that the number of species was facing a sharp decline from 10 million years before the asteroid strike until the dinosaurs were wiped out. This decline was observed worldwide.
