Cotton procurement stalled in erstwhile Karimnagar

According to Cotton Corporation of India’s (CCI) new guidelines, the CCI has decided to allocate serial numbers — like L-1, L-2, L-3 and so on — depending on the mills' capacity and procure cotton according to the serial number. If the procurement was taken up one after another, there would not be cotton left for purchasing in the ginning mills that were allocated last numbers, millers opined and stopped the procurement opposing the CCI decision.
