Delhi HC pauses money laundering trial against P Chidambaram in Aircel-Maxis case

A bench of Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri was hearing a plea filed by senior Congress leader and former Union Minister P. Chidambaram against the trial court's order taking cognisance of the prosecution complaint filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The matter will be heard in January next year. The case involves alleged irregularities in the grant of Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval to the Aircel-Maxis deal in 2006.
