Explained: What is automatic previews in Google messages and how to use it

Automatic previews fetch information from links you receive in your chats and display a snippet of that information directly within the message window. When someone sends you a link in a text message, if it points to a website, news article, video, or other compatible content, Google Messages will try to grab a preview of that content which might include the title of the webpage, a short description, a thumbnail image, or a snippet of the content itself.
