Google CCI: How CCI’s Android ruling could affect Google

Last October, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) ordered search giant Google to make fundamental changes to how its Android mobile operating system is licensed. At the heart of the Android issue is an agreement that Google signs with smartphone makers such as Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus and Oppo. The CCI has said this Mobile Application Distribution Agreement (MADA) creates “significant entry barriers” for Android app developers.
