Google has been ordered to pay £2.4 billion to the UK-based Shivaun and Adam Raff after a protracted legal battle over anti-competitive practices. This verdict, affirmed by the European Court of Justice (ECJ) in September 2024, came after the European Commission in 2017 convicted Google of dominance abuse through preferential treatment of its services. Among other competitors, it included the couple’s price comparison site – Foundem.
