Govt to spend Rs 1000 crore to repair damaged rural roads in Kerala

The Local Self Government Department recently instructed MLAs to compile and submit a list of damaged roads in each constituency. The priority will be given to roads connecting major highways, schools, colleges, hospitals, and tourism areas, as well as the approx. 4500 km damaged during the first phase of the Jal Jeevan Mission. For the Jal Jeevan Mission, contractors are awaiting Rs 4,500 crore in pending bills from the government.
