India's Preethi Pal scripts history wins bronze in 100m T35 event at Paris Paralympics

The 23-year-old won the bronze with a personal best time of 14.21 seconds. Preethi's bronze is India's first medal from para-athletics in the Paris Paralympics. T35 classification is meant for athletes with coordination impairments such as hypertonia, ataxia, athetosis and cerebral palsy. Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal obtained the podium finish for India with gold and bronze medals, respectively, in the women's 10m air rifle standing SH1 event.
