India's space agency ISRO launches EOS-08 satellite with SSLV-D3

ISRO launched the Earth Observation Satellite-8 (EOS-8) using its recently built small satellite launch vehicle SSLV-D3. The satellite was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh's Harikota. This is the third and final developmental flight of the SSLV-D3/EOS-08 mission. The SSLV rocket was planned to be launched on August 15 at 9.17 am but was rescheduled to today at 9.19 am from the first launch pad.
