India backs first G20 Ministerial declaration on disaster risk reduction in Brazil

A high-level Indian delegation, headed by Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister participated in the G20 Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group Ministerial Meeting in Belem. India’s active role contributed to the finalisation of the first Ministerial declaration focused on five key priorities outlined during its G20 Presidency: early warning systems, resilient infrastructure, DRR financing, resilient recovery, and nature-based solutions.
