India hails successful test of long-range hypersonic missile

India becomes the fifth country to successfully test a hypersonic missile, alongside Russia, China, Iran, and the US. The Defence Research and Development Organisation successfully test-fired from the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island, off the coast of Odisha, said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. He added that the achievement has put India "in the group of select nations, having capabilities of such critical and advanced military technologies."
