IPO bound Ather Energy could eye valuations of nearly $2.5 billion

Indian electric two-wheeler pioneer Ather Energy filed the Draft Red Herring Prospectus for its IPO with SEBI. The IPO will consist of a fresh issue of ₹3,100 crore and an Offer For Sale of 2.2 crore equity shares. Ather Energy could be looking at valuations of about $2.5 billion or nearly ₹21,000 crore at the upper end of the price band. Recently listed Ola Electric, Ather Energy’s peer, trades with a market capitalisation of nearly ₹50,000 crore.
