ISRO launches earth observation satellite, 9 other spacecraft in 1st mission of 2020

ISRO has launched its earth observation satellite EOS-01 along with nine other customer satellites in its first mission this year. The satellites were carried by the space agency's trusted workhorse, Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C49) which lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota at 3:12 pm on Saturday. This was ISRO's first mission since the coronavirus outbreak.
The earth observation satellite, EOS-01 will be used for applications in applications in agriculture, forestry and disaster management support.
