Karnataka HC asks Congress to furnish permission taken for its 'padayatra'

The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday asked the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) to submit before it by January 14 whether they had taken any permission to hold the 'Walk for Water' demanding a balancing reservoir across the Cauvery river at Mekedatu in Ramanagara district.
The Bench asked the government what measures were taken to restrain the KPCC from holding the rally. The court directed Congress to explain whether they were adhering to COVID norms.
