Amid incessant rains in Bengaluru, the lives of civilians, cattle and stray animals came to a standstill. In visuals from the city, residents of the Varthur suburb resorted to riding boats and other carriers to commute through heavily waterlogged areas.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh on September 8 and 9.
