Microsoft appoints former GE CFO Carolina Dybeck Happe as New COO

Microsoft has appointed Happe to strengthen its leadership and advance its artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. The former Chief Financial Officer of General Electric played a pivotal role in the company’s financial turnaround and the successful spin-off of its energy infrastructure unit, GE Vernova, in April 2024. Earlier this year, Microsoft also brought Mustafa Suleyman, an AI veteran and co-founder of DeepMind, onto the SLT to lead its AI operations.
