Mid-air scare! Lightning strikes Delta flight over Atlantic Ocean

The Federal Aviation Administration said that Delta Flight 112 had taken off from Logan International Airport on Sunday evening (August 4) and was flying to Rome when the flight crew said that the plane had been struck by lightning after the departure. After Airbus A330 landed at Boston airport at around 7:20 pm, it was surrounded by fire trucks on the tarmac. Boston EMS said no medical help was needed for any passengers or crew.
