Mullaperiyar dam water level will be raised to 152 ft, says TN minister

Veteran DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Minister I Periyasamy said that the state government will take measures to increase water storage at the Mullaiperiyar dam to 152 feet. He also emphasized that no land belonging to the state would be relinquished. The minister’s comments followed his visit to Theni to assess damage caused by recent rains. Kerala had recently granted Tamil Nadu permission to carry out essential repairs at the dam.
