The incident took place on August 19. The passenger said in the post that the roach was found in the dal served during the journey from Shirdi in Maharashtra to Mumbai. He has given a written complaint to the IRCTC. The Railways said that officials have been appointed to inspect the food cooking unit in the train. Between April 2023 and February 2024, the Railways received 123 complaints against unhygienic food served in Vande Bharat trains.
