The 23-year-old clocked her personal best of 14.21 seconds to finish third. Preethi from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, was born to a farmer’s family. Preethi's lower body had to be plastered for six days after birth. Weak legs and an irregular leg posture meant she was prone to various diseases. Despite many doubting her survival, she proved to be a fighter. Her life changed after she started practising athletics and met Paralympian Fathima Khatoon.
