Single-use Plastic, Thermocol To Be Banned In State From July 1

The Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB) has issued a notice to all manufacturers, stockists, retailers, shopkeepers, street vendors and users of plastic and packaging materials to phase out single-use plastic (SUP) by June 30 this year.
The direction comes in the wake of a notification issued by the Union ministry of forest, environment and climate change on August 12, 2021,
