Telangana | Major blow to BRS as six party MLCs join Congress

K Chandrasekhar Rao-led BRS continues to suffer from desertions after its defeat in the assembly polls last year. The MLCs who switched loyalty to the Congress in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday include Dande Vittal, Bhanu Prasad, B. Dayanand, Prabhakar Rao, Egge Mallesham and Basavaraju Saraiah. According to the Telangana Legislative Council website, currently, BRS has 25 members and Congress has four.
