A team of scientists working to look for the occurrence and behaviour of water on Earth's natural satellite have designed an instrument that can detect water molecules from the surface.

The team from The Open University and RAL Space have assembled the Exospheric Mass Spectrometer, that will study the abundance of water and ice for upcoming missions to the Moon. The instrument will arrive on the Moon as part of the ambitious Artemis mission by Nasa.
