Uber introduces new safety features for women drivers, riders amid rising concerns

The company has introduced the Women Rider Preferred option, which allows women drivers to accept trips from only women riders. This feature, based on driver feedback, aims to support women drivers in prioritising safety, extending working hours, and increasing earnings. The safety preferences section lets riders customise safety features such as RideCheck, Share My Trip, and Audio Recording to activate automatically on every ride.
