Was lucky to have a few conversations with him, says Rohit on Gaekwad’s demise

Indian cricketing fraternity is in mourning following the demise of former India cricketer and head coach Aunshuman Gaekwad on 31 July, and captain Rohit Sharma paid tribute to him. Gaekwad played 40 Tests and 15 ODIs for India from 1975 to 1987 and became a selector and the side’s head coach from October 1997 to September 1999. He returned as coach for India in the 2000 Champions Trophy, where they lost to New Zealand in the final.
