Wolf, believed to be behind killing of seven people in UP's Bahraich, captured

The male wolf was captured as part of 'Operation Bhediya,' launched by the UP government to capture a pack of wolves that have been terrorising parts of Mehsi tehsil for 47 days. Around 30 people were injured by a pack of wolves in different villages and seven were killed in Bahraich. The impacted area falls in the Terai region with dense forests in the northern reaches of the district, which also shares an international border with Nepal.
