World at its door, Odisha puts spotlight on festival of hockey

Odisha fused the traditional with the modern in a dazzling display of style and content during the opening ceremony of the 15th edition of FIH Men's World Cup in Cuttack's Barabati Stadium. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "As the 2023 Hockey World Cup commences in Odisha, my best wishes to all the participating teams. May this tournament further strengthen the spirit of sportsmanship and may it further popularize the beautiful game of Hockey."
