‘Selfish narcissistic ego’: Author Taslima Nasreen’s take on surrogacy kicks up Twitter storm

Less than 24 hours after actress Priyanka Chopra announced to the world that she and her husband Nick Jonas had just welcomed their first baby via a surrogate mother, author Taslima Nasreen took to Twitter to express her views on the practice of surrogacy.

“Surrogacy is possible because there are poor women. Rich people always want the existence of poverty in society for their own interests. Children must inherit your traits - it is just a selfish narcissistic ego,” she wrote on Twitter.
