2 held with heroin worth Rs 17 lakh in Baripada during pre-poll crackdown

Police said the seizure was made during intensive patrolling in the Debendrapur area of Baripada, Odisha, on Saturday night. The police team conducting patrolling in the area intercepted an auto-rickshaw moving suspiciously. On checking, the heroin weighing around 170.06 grams was recovered. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the possible involvement of others in the drug racket and the nature of the network.
