51% of adolescent girls underweight in Gujarat

It is not just children who are underweight in Gujarat, so are adolescents.
Analysis of ICDS (Integrated Child Development Scheme) data through continuous monitoring has found that of the girls surveyed, 51% in the 11-19 years age group had a low body mass index (BMI), i.e. they weighed less than optimal.
