Alzheimer’s disease: Why women are more prone?

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia. In 2020 there were over 55 million people worldwide living with dementia and by 2050 it is supposed to reach 139 million worldwide, with most of them being in developing countries. Of dementia disorders, Alzheimer’s is supposed to be the most common type of dementia and presently about 7.6 million people in India are supposed to be affected by it.
