The International Space Station, a flying laboratory nearly 250 miles above Earth, has seen astronauts come and go, new technologies being added, removed and survive dangerous radiations. However, in the last two decades of its three-decade-long service, one experiment has remained on board working silently in weightlessness- the Plasma Kristall investigations.
The experiment looks beyond the visual range to understand some of the most unique phenomena on Earth at the atomic level.
