Bihar assembly speaker Vijay Sinha resigns, house to reconvene at 2pm

Bihar Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha Wednesday resigned from his post, “bowing to the majority”, ahead of the Nitish Kumar government’s floor test.

Bihar's Nitish Kumar-led grand alliance government is scheduled to go for a floor test today. 165 MLAs in the 243-member assembly, whose current effective strength is 241, have pledged their support for Nitish Kumar.
