Boeing whistleblower John Barnett found dead in South Carolina

Charleston County Coroner confirmed the death of Barnett, 62. From 2010 to 2017, Barnett worked as a quality manager at Boeing's North Charleston plant which manufactured the 787 Dreamliner and was the subject of multiple whistleblower complaints. In 2019, he alleged that he uncovered serious problems with oxygen systems on the long-haul jet and that sub-standard parts set to be discarded were fitted to planes to avoid production delays.
