Bombay HC allows woman to terminate 32-week pregnancy, says 'her right to decision'

While allowing a woman to terminate her 32-week pregnancy, the Bombay High Court on Monday stated that it is the right of a woman to choose whether to continue her pregnancy or not. The decision came after a woman filed a petition seeking permission from the high court to terminate her pregnancy after sonography revealed that the foetus had severe abnormalities and that the baby would be born with physical and mental disabilities.
