BSE Sensex jumps 350 pts, Nifty just shy of 16400

Domestic equity benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading over half a per cent higher on Wednesday, a day before the weekly F&O expiry. BSE Sensex jumped 260 points or 0.5 per cent to 54577, while NSE Nifty 50 was hovering near 16350.
Gold price trade steady above the $1800 level amidst a fall in the Dollar index, increasing geopolitical tensions and a resurgence of Covid cases.
