Cabinet approves renaming of Navi Mumbai International Airport to DB Patil

Maharashtra state cabinet today approved the renaming of Navi Mumbai Airport to DB Patil International Airport. The cabinet said that Navi Mumbai International Airport will be named after former Peasants and Workers Party leader DB Patil.
Raju Patil issuing a statement said, "I doubt CM's intention of declaring it now when his government is in trouble because earlier when our communities delegation had gone to meet the CM over this demand, he had left meeting from the middle".
