Caretaker assaults elderly woman, robs jewellery in Mumbai, arrested

The Mumbai Police arrested a 35-year-old caretaker associated with an elderly care firm for allegedly assaulting and robbing an 81-year-old woman in the city, police said. The accused, Ankit Patil, was hired through BHN Home Health Care Services a day before the incident as a caretaker for the woman's ailing husband at their Juhu home. According to the police, the accused tried to strangle the woman on March 14 in a robbery bid.
