Carry out dry runs in hospitals, Centre tells states amid growing concern for surge in Covid-19 cases

The Union Health Ministry on Friday asked states and UTs to carry out dry runs in the hospitals to remain prepared for any surge in Covid cases. The ministry also asked them to ensure effective compliance with the detailed operational guidelines for the revised surveillance strategy for Covid-19 as shared by it. Following the directions from the ministry, the country-wide mock drills are expected to be carried out on December 27.
