CBI unearths Rs 1.6 crore cash, gold worth Rs 8.5 crore from retired railway officer in Odisha

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday unearthed suspected ill-gotten assets worth a whopping Rs 12 crore, including about Rs 6 crore in cash, 17kg gold worth about Rs 8.5 crore and bank balance to the tune of nearly Rs 5 crore from a retired railway official in Odisha. During the same check period, the CBI found Jena and his family members (wife and two daughters) owing movable and immovable properties worth Rs 4.33 crore.
