Centre urges states to set up makeshift hospitals, control rooms as India braces for third wave of COVID-19 pandemic

As India's COVID-19 cases continue to rise, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan on Saturday advised chief secretaries of all States and UTs to initiate the process of setting up makeshift hospitals and constituting special teams to monitor patients in home isolation. 

All states and UTs should operationalize control rooms at district or sub-district level and revisit the COVID-19 dedicated health infrastructure.
