Charu Sharma reveals conversation with IPL to be auctioneer after Hugh Edmeades' fall

Auctioneer Hugh Edmeades incurred a fall due to Postural Hypotension, prompting the organisers to stop the auction event midway. Sports presenter Charu Sharma was called upon to fill in for Edmeades.

While Charu isn't an unknown face in the sporting arena of the country, many wondered how the IPL organisers managed to get hold of him in such a short time. "Put on your shoes and come here," Charu recalled as the chairman of the IPL, Brijesh Patel, gave him a call, saying it was 'an emergency'.
