China has suspended entry of foreign nationals into the country from India in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. The announcement by the Chinese embassy in New Delhi on Thursday came amid the continuing standoff of the People’s Liberation Army with the Indian Army on the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh.

However, the traveller ban is not confined to India. Travellers from Britain, France, Belgium and the Philippines too have been temporarily disallowed entry into China.
